The Role of Women in Social Upliftment

Society is a common home for people of different castes, religions, cultures, class communities, and genders. All the people living in the society have an equal role in its upliftment. Even more important and decisive is the role of women, who have more than half the population or have succeeded in occupying half the sky, in social change.

The Role of Women in Social Upliftment

At one time, women were considered second class citizens and were treated accordingly. They were also neglected in various fields such as economic, social, religious, moral, political, ethical, and cultural. Such traditional stereotypes have never led society to prosperity. The belief that they were confined to domestic chores and considered a means of luxury pushed society further into anarchy and centuries later.

Therefore, the participation of women in the upliftment of society cannot be increased unless the roots of such traditional stereotypes can be uprooted by keeping egalitarian modern thinking in the society. Not being able to increase their participation is not being able to take the society on the path of progress and not being able to uplift the society. At present, it is important to understand that without the active participation of women, social upliftment and building an egalitarian judicial society is almost impossible.

The Role of Women in Social Upliftment

Lack of women's education has actually increased domestic violence. If they can be educated and given equal participation in building the society, the upliftment of not only the family and the society but also the entire nation is possible. Their skills, abilities, intelligence, and decency lead the society towards the same progress and also play an inspiring role by making them active towards success.

Thus, traditional superstitions have become an obstacle for them to actively participate in social upliftment. When it comes to women's upliftment, social and gender discrimination is also a factor. Therefore, the first need of today is to introduce humanity, harmony, honesty, and civilization by moving forward, not pushing back the roots of such traditional superstitions and social discrimination.

The role of women in the social upliftment of the society towards women empowerment is very important by allowing them to participate in social development and other economic, educational, and cultural fields without any hindrance, creating a conducive environment and giving them a chance to be creative, providing necessary guidance and assistance.
