Though thousands of visitors visit this temple every month, a Special crowd of people from India and Nepal can be seen during Dashain. It is believed that in 1097 when the Muslim kingdoms attack Karnatak King Nanyadeva then he left his state and come to stay in Bara in Nepal. This Nanyadeva Fifth-generation descendant of the king was Sakrasinha Dev. He came to Saptari to live the rest of his life. The temple gate opens early at 4 am and morning puja is completed within 7 am, Daily from 12:15pm to 2pm. the temple remains closed and again reopens till 8pm at night. The best time to visit the temple is during the winter. There is a small pond very near to the temple where the pilgrims take a bath and the Chhath festival is also greatly celebrated over there. There are many small shops where we can buy prasad for Devi and also we can have breakfast after worshipping.

In my view, if the government helps the temple it will be a good source of income from tourism as many pilgrims visit every day from different parts of Nepal and India. The bad thing I saw that the pond water was very dirty and some of the people were washing their clothes over there.
